Aetheris Human Systems:

Human performance under sustained demand requires more than the ability to generate effort. It requires the ability to regulate it.

At Aetheris Human Systems, we help high-performing humans recover the adaptive capacity of their intrinsic biological intelligence—the nervous system’s ability to efficiently move between challenge, demand, recovery, and restoration. Elite performers are trained to produce effort. The overlooked capability is the ability to release unnecessary effort when the demand has passed.

When resting neuromuscular tone remains elevated, the body may continue expending energy, restricting movement efficiency, and limiting recovery capacity long after performance is complete. Aetheris helps individuals expand their adaptive range—the ability to mobilize when needed, sustain performance under demand, and return efficiently to recovery.

Performance doesn't begin with muscles. It begins with regulation and optimized recovery.

Rapid Neuromuscular Reset (RNR)

A Field-Expedient Neurosensory Regulation Capability for Operational Readiness, Recovery & Performance

Strategic Vision
Rapid Neuromuscular Reset is intended to become a scalable, evidence-informed capability that expands biological resilience across the force—supporting operational readiness, accelerating recovery, enhancing performance, and extending career longevity while strengthening the health and resilience of Special Operations personnel and their families.

The Challenge
Special Operations personnel operate under sustained physical, cognitive, and emotional demands. Even when mission-ready, repeated exposure to operational stress often results in persistently elevated resting muscle tone, reduced adaptive capacity, disrupted recovery, and increased musculoskeletal burden.

Current performance programs excel at building capability but have fewer rapid, field-expedient methods for restoring nervous system regulation before cumulative stress contributes to injury, impaired sleep, diminished resilience, or long-term health consequences.

The Solution
Rapid Neuromuscular Reset (RNR) is a Trager®-based, medic-delivered neurosensory regulation protocol designed to reduce unnecessary resting muscle tone and restore adaptive nervous system function through gentle, non-invasive manual and movement-based interventions.
The protocol can be delivered in operational environments with minimal equipment and integrates alongside existing medical, rehabilitation, and human performance programs.

Why It Matters
Rather than treating symptoms after performance declines, RNR addresses one of the foundational biological contributors to cumulative stress: excessive resting muscle tone and persistent neuromuscular guarding.  By improving regulation before dysfunction becomes injury, RNR represents a proactive capability that complements existing strength, conditioning, rehabilitation, and psychological health programs.

Operational Objectives

• RNR is designed to support:
• Improved recovery following cumulative operational stress
• Reduction of unnecessary resting muscle tone
• Enhanced parasympathetic recovery and autonomic regulation
• Improved movement efficiency and breathing mechanics
• Better sleep quality and recovery capacity
• Reduced musculoskeletal strain and overuse burden
• Improved readiness for sustained performance
• Long-term career longevity and family well-being

Training Model

• The program trains Special Operations medics and human performance personnel to:
• Assess neuromuscular tension patterns
• Apply Rapid Neuromuscular Reset protocols safely and consistently
• Recognize indicators of autonomic dysregulation
• Integrate RNR into existing recovery and rehabilitation workflows
• Teach simple self-regulation strategies that operators can use independently
• Training emphasizes practical competency, repeatable application, and immediate operational relevance.

Operational Experience:

Rapid Neuromuscular Reset has progressed beyond concept development into operational implementation through three completed 2-day training cohorts involving Special Forces Medical Sergeants, THOR3 Occupational Therapy personnel, and USSOCOM staff.
